I have a burden for the people of God, the ‘invisible’ church - people born again by the Holy Spirit.
The people you see attending churches every week are whom I call the visible church. Among these are the true church of God.  How many I do not know. But what I do know is that there is a large number of unsaved who attend church every week. Jesus said small is the gate and narrow is the path, so I expect the real church will always be a minority.

I fear that most church goers have no idea that they have been deceived into thinking that attending church weekly is all that Christ wants for His church. They have been assimilated into the ‘establishment’ without being aware that the establishment is not the church.

The establishment is a man made organisation, with its religious rules and order – do this, this is acceptable behaviour, follow what the pastor or elders say, give your offerings and don’t rock the boat or ask too many questions, etc.  The establishment follows its own created rules and man made religious orders, instead of what Christ teaches.  Sadly, many of these people go to bible believing evangelical churches but are not aware that many things going on inside are not based on the bible.  It's hard to run aware from tradition.

I can safely say that the majority who attend the establishment have no awareness that they are in a matrix of deception - a human organization has replaced the church. Most Christians are living in this fairy world of Churchianity and have never questioned if it is in fact following in the steps of the New Testament model.

One day, some will wake up from this matrix and realise that their church world is a pale resemblance of the New Testament church and what it teaches. They will realise that the true church is a spiritual body of believers  and not a human institution of church attendees.
And when they begin to ask too many questions, they are classed as troublemakers in the church and ‘asked’ to worship elsewhere.

It is a myth that those who leave the church are troublemakers who cannot fit in. And no, they don't have rings on their noses and tattoos on the body. Many who leave are actually sincere Christians wanting to obey Christ, and who have the courage to challenge the establishment.    Sadly, many have also paid the price, some have been badly hurt and have given up finding a real Christ centred church and simply meet at home.

I’ve heard pastors who use the sermons to drive these people out of their little established kingdoms they call their church. These are fake shepherds and hirelings.  In many of my blog articles I'll describe these fake shepherds and refer to them as 'pastors'.  I DO NOT mean that every pastor is a fake shepherd as there are pastors in the US and other parts of the world who are genuine and sincerely serving the Lord by lovingly caring for His sheep. My own observation is that these genuine pastors are far less in number than the hireling pastors who are out to build a career for themselves.
Ezekiel 8:6-12
6 And he said to me, “Son of man, do you see what they are doing—the utterly detestable things the Israelites are doing here, things that will drive me far from my sanctuary? But you will see things that are even more detestable.”  7 Then he brought me to the entrance to the court. I looked, and I saw a hole in the wall. 8 He said to me, “Son of man, now dig into the wall.” So I dug into the wall and saw a doorway there.  9 And he said to me, “Go in and see the wicked and detestable things they are doing here.” 10 So I went in and looked, and I saw portrayed all over the walls all kinds of crawling things and unclean animals and all the idols of Israel. 11 In front of them stood seventy elders of Israel, and Jaazaniah son of Shaphan was standing among them. Each had a censer in his hand, and a fragrant cloud of incense was rising.  12 He said to me, “Son of man, have you seen what the elders of Israel are doing in the darkness, each at the shrine of his own idol? They say, ‘The Lord does not see us; the Lord has forsaken the land.’” 13 Again, he said, “You will see them doing things that are even more detestable.”
This blog is written for the true invisible church everywhere – those meeting in small local churches, those meeting at home with other believers, and those not able to meet at all.
I'd like to encourage you that you're not alone. There are pockets of believers everywhere, all over the world.
